April Ross
April Ross is one of only a few female beach volleyball athletes to win medals at more than one Olympics. Alix klineman, who is playing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics and will attempt to win her third Olympic medal. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic gold medal. And at the age of 39 this may be her last chance to accomplish this. But she's still convinced of winning top awards. Ross through NBC Boston, said that when the team performs well or at all they can earn a gold. That's why I'm taking some luck too. Ross, who was born 1982 and was raised in Costa Mesa California with her mother and sister, first began participating in the sports of Newport Harbor High School. While at Newport Harbor High School, she played in a variety of activities. Along with the indoor game, she also played basketball and jogged track in her pre-college days. She was definitely the best at the sport of indoor volleyball. Through her high school years, she was a middle blocker outside hitter and setter on the volleyball court, according to her college bio. In recognition of her accomplishments, she received the Gatorade Award for the National Player of 1999. In 2000, the Orange County Athlete of the Month was also received by her for volleyball. Ross and Klineman formed their relationship in 2017 but Ross has been a beach player for years prior to. In actual Ross has been a winner of several important tournaments throughout her career with two partners. One of them is a legend. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 until 2013. Together together with Kessy Ross, she won a World Title in 2009, while racing in the international circuit. At the 2012 Olympic Games, they received a gold medal. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor took home gold overtaking them. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement when she retired. They won the beach volleyball bronze in the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a player for the Trojans at USC during her college years after she graduated in high school. Her career was a success through the NCAA tournament. In 2000 she was named Pac-10 Freshman as well as NCAA Freshman of the Year and an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans to make it to the Final Four. Her personal tragedy was a crushing loss in her sophomore year and yet she went on to repeat in the ranks of an All-American. The last two years in the Trojans team the team was led to victory by winning successive national titles. The individual accomplishments of her have established her status as a legend in volleyball. She was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the top female NCAA player. Ross was who was a USC international relations major, was a volleyball star. Margie Ross never saw her daughter reach the top in beach volleyball. When Ross was a sophomore studying at USC her mother passed away from breast cancer. Ross holds her mother very dearly. Margie has been an inspiration both in her personal life and at the beach.
